Account
How do I create an account?

Download OutOut from the App Store or Google Play, then tap Sign Up. You'll need to verify your email address before you can start using the app.

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email address. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account directly in the app. Go to your profile page and select the account deletion option. Please note that any preserved Memories you have paid for cannot be refunded once your account is deleted.

How do I change my username or profile picture?

Tap your profile icon in the app to open your profile. From there you can update your display name, username, and profile picture.

OutOuts
What is an OutOut?

An OutOut is a temporary group chat with a defined start and end time. You can share messages, photos, videos, polls, songs, locations, and GIFs within your group during the active period.

Once the end time passes, the chat becomes a read-only archive called a Memory.

How do I invite people to an OutOut?

You can invite friends directly when creating an OutOut, or share an invite link from the Manage menu. Anyone with the link can join, even if they don't have the app yet — they'll be prompted to sign up first.

Can I leave an OutOut?

Yes — you can leave any active OutOut you didn't create. Your messages will remain visible to other members. Once an OutOut has ended and become a Memory, you can no longer leave it.

Memories
What happens to an OutOut after it ends?

It becomes a Memory — a read-only archive of everything shared. Memories are fully accessible for 30 days. As the 30-day mark approaches you'll see a fade effect on the tile, and once it passes the Memory becomes faded and can no longer be opened.

How do I preserve a Memory permanently?

Open the Memory before it fades and tap Memory Perks. You can preserve it for yourself individually (£1.99 / $1.99) or preserve it for the whole group (£4.99 / $4.99). Preserved Memories won't fade.

Can I recover a faded Memory?

Yes — tap the greyed-out OutOut tile in your list to open the revival screen. From there you can revive the Memory for £2.99 / $2.99, which will restore full access to it.

How do I download photos and videos from a Memory?

Open the Memory and tap Memory Perks, then select Download All Media. This will save all photos and videos shared by other members to your device gallery in an OutOut folder. We recommend doing this on WiFi.

Safety & Reporting
How do I report a user or message?

To report a specific message, long-press it in the chat, tap the icon, and select Report. To report a user, tap the icon next to their name in your friends list or search results and select Report user.

You can also email us directly at reports@wheresg.com with details of the issue and we'll investigate promptly.

How do I block someone?

Tap the icon next to a user's name in your friends list or search results and select Block user. Blocked users won't be able to send you friend requests and you won't appear in each other's search results.

To manage or unblock people, go to your profile and tap Blocked Users.

What happens after I report someone?

Reports are reviewed by our team. Depending on the severity, we may issue warnings, restrict access, or permanently remove accounts that violate our guidelines. We take all reports seriously.

Purchases & Billing
How do in-app purchases work?

OutOut uses one-time in-app purchases (not subscriptions) for Memory preservation and revival. Purchases are processed securely through Apple or Google and are subject to their refund policies.

Can I get a refund?

Refund requests must be made through Apple or Google directly, as all purchases are processed by them. For Apple purchases, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, visit your Google Play order history.
